Australian peroxide restrictions
The Australian Dental Association's current policy explains that products containing more than 6 per cent hydrogen peroxide or 18 per cent carbamide peroxide may only be sold, supplied and used by registered dental practitioners as part of dental practice. Products in lower scheduled ranges still require warnings and careful use.
Do not assume that a product sold through an Australian-looking website meets Australian requirements. Check the supplier, ingredients, concentration, directions and warning label, and be cautious when the concentration is hidden behind terms such as professional strength.
