People come to a dental site in pain, in a hurry, and across every age and ability. Accessibility is treated as a requirement here, not a feature.
The standard we build to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA. We test as we build rather than auditing at the end.
What that means in practice
- Text and background colours meet AA contrast ratios, and we never rely on colour alone to carry meaning.
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
- Touch targets are at least 44 pixels so they are usable with limited dexterity.
- Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Headings are properly structured so screen reader users can navigate by heading.
- The site works from a 320 pixel screen upward without horizontal scrolling.
- Animation is subtle, and we respect the reduced motion setting on your device.
- We write in plain English and explain terms the first time they appear.
Where we know we fall short
We are honest about this. The site is new and has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist or tested with a full range of assistive technologies. We intend to arrange that as the site grows.
