How we research, write and review

Who writes our guides

Our guides are written by our editorial team and reviewed by registered dentists before publication. Where a guide has been clinically reviewed, the reviewer is named on the page along with their AHPRA registration number and the date of review.

Contributing dentists are credited by name and practice. They are not paid for contributions, and a contribution does not affect how a practice appears in the directory.

How we handle accuracy

Every factual claim is sourced from a named authority, such as the Australian Dental Association, the Department of Health, Services Australia or peer reviewed research. Where a figure is indicative, such as a treatment cost range, we say so plainly and note that it varies by practice and location.

Guides carry a visible last updated date. We review costs, rebate information and clinical guidance at least annually, and sooner when something material changes.

What we will not publish

We do not publish clinical advice, diagnose conditions, or recommend a specific treatment for an individual. Our guides are general information and always defer to a consultation with a registered practitioner.

We do not accept payment for editorial coverage or for a favourable position in a guide. We do not publish testimonials, before and after imagery, or any content that implies a guaranteed outcome, in line with AHPRA advertising requirements for regulated health services.

If you believe something on this site is wrong, tell us and we will check it. Substantive corrections are made promptly and noted on the page. Contact details are on our contact page.

How editorial and commercial stay separate

Directory listings and guides are produced independently of one another. Paid tiers, when they exist, will be clearly labelled and will never alter the substance of a guide or present a paid position as an editorial recommendation.
